Sheena Benjamin-Wise

Managing Partner

“I believe in honesty, first and foremost. I’m not going to sugarcoat it – I’ll always tell you the truth so that we can choose the best path forward together.”

Sheena Benjamin-Wise understands that family law matters are stressful – even under the best of circumstances.

She recognizes that divorce and family law are intensely personal matters, and so she believes that her job is to start by listening to her clients. This mentality allows Sheena to understand the unique circumstances that each client faces – and to create the best possible outcome.

Sheena founded her firm in 2002 which focuses primarily on divorce and family law.

In addition to serving her clients, Sheena is an active community leader. She serves on the Executive Council of the Florida Bar Family Law Section, was previously Co-Chair of the Children’s Issue Committee, and serves as President of the Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyers Association.

Sheena is a strong legislative advocate as well – and has received media recognition for her work on behalf of her clients and their families. Her advocacy has been featured in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and other media outlets.

Sheena has been honored as a 2020 Super Lawyer, and she has been honored many times by the Florida Bar – including the Family Law Section Keeper of the Flame Award and the Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award.

When she’s not practicing law, you’ll find Sheena spending quality time with her family. Nothing is more fulfilling for her than memorable conversations with her husband and their daughters around the kitchen table – or the swimming pool.
